For people who work with large data sets in Excel or databases for that matter, one of the most common error checking tasks is the removal of duplicates values. Some people refer to this process as de-duping. The main reason this is necessary for data sets is because any time you create a primary key field, you can only have unique values in that column. Any repeating value is, therefore, an error.
Today we can discuss three easiest methods for Cleaning Duplicate values from the Large Datasets in seconds.
Method – 1 Advanced Filter options
Step-1
Select the data
Step-2
Click on the Data tab, Click on advanced filter option and Click on Unique records only and if you require data in another cell then please click on copy to another location and select the region.
Method-2 Remove Duplicate
Step-1
Select the Data
Step-2
Click on the Data Tab, click on Remove Duplicate option and which will automatically remove the duplicate value
Method-3 Pivot Table
Step-1
Select the Data
Step-2
Click on the Insert Tab, Click on the Pivot Table option and select the cell in the existing sheet and click ok
Step-3
Drag the Item to the Row label and now we will get only the unique value.
