How to Split the text in the Microsoft Excel in Different Scenarios

           

            Sometimes we need to split the text into columns on the based on different scenarios.

Case 1

Based on Space between the Text

In the below example, we need to the split the name to First Name and Second Name

Click on the Data Tab- Text to Columns---select the delimit option and click on next tab-and select the space tab and click on the finish option. And now the text split to two column based on the space.

 



 

Case-2

Based on the other character

 

In the below example the data is provided with “/” and we need to split the text based on “/”.

Click on the Data Tab- Text to Columns---select the delimit option-and click on next tab-and select the other tab and type “/”,(and here we can type any character ) and click on the finish option. And now the text split to different column based on the “/”

 


Case- 3

Based on the comma

In the below example the data is provided with “,” and we need to split the text based on “,”.

Click on the Data Tab- Text to Columns---select the delimit option-and click on next tab-and select the comma tab and click on the finish option. And now the text split to different column based on the “,”.
