Fill Series tool is one of the best in the Microsoft Excel for saving lot of time for creating the list of numbers,days,dates and years in simple way.

In this article we will discuss some of the important tips which we need to use frequently

Filling Numbers.

Example : Some time we need to fill the serial number upto 2000 numbers, for this purpose we commonly use to drag the number upto 2000 numbers, here instead of dragging the cells we just write the stop value in the fill series option and click ok.

Filling Dates.

 Example : If we want to fill the dates like the 01 July 12, 2017 to 31st July 12, 2017 and we need to drag instead of this way we just update in the stop value as the date which we required.

Filling the Month

Exampe : If we want to fill the month series we just write the starting month, and update in the fill series option in the stop value as the ending date. It will automatically fill it without dragging.

Filling the Weekday

Example : If I need to fill the dates of the weekdays (excluding the Saturday and Sunday) we can use fill series option and select the option of weekdays and update the closing date in the stop value and click ok.
